Itinerary

Day 1 - Windhoek Country Club and Resort

Your guide will meet you at the International Airport upon your arrival at the start of your unique golf safari. After all the necessary introductions you will drive to Windhoek Country Club on the outskirts of the capital.
Set on 72 hectares of natural Namibian bushveld and vegetation on the southern fringe of the capital city, Windhoek, the golf and country club presents an alluring haven of greenery to members and visitors alike.
A modern clubhouse, designed to merge into the natural beauty of the course, is the doorway to 18 holes of unbridle golfing pleasure with 6199 meters of lush grass fairways and greens presenting a variety of challenges to golfers of all abilities.
Adjacent to the course is the stunning Windhoek Country Club Hotel & Resort offering 4 Star accommodation, conference facilities and a Casino. The hotel is a true haven of charm and hospitality.

Day 2 – Rossmund Desert Golf Course, Swakopmund

Leaving the thorn bush savannah behind us, we drive west through the Namib Desert to our next destination, just outside the coastal town of Swakopmund.
A round of golf at Rossmund is a truly unique experience. On the banks of the ephemeral Swakop River, this is only one of five desert golf courses in the world. Stroll amongst the wildlife and enjoy the resident springbuck and morning duets of the desert strike.
Golfing on this 6 068 metre par 72 fully grassed 18-hole golf course with its year round quality fairways and slick greens is enormously rewarding.

Day 3 – Henties Bay & Cape Cross, Skeleton Coast

A busy day lay ahead of us. We start off the day with a morning activity. Guests can decide between something leisure like visiting the town of Swakopmund, or something more adventures like an ocean dolphin cruise, sand dune quad biking or many others to choose from.
After our activity, we take the coastal road north to the small town of Henties Bay for another round of golf.
The golf course, in itself an attraction for many tourists who regard the sandy fairways as a challenge, is laid out in an old bed of the Omaruru River delta known as the Valley. It is a nine-hole golf course, extending over a distance of 2.7 km and has very well tended grass greens and tees while the fairways are virgin desert sand. There are three par 3, two par 5 and four par 4 holes.
Having played enough golf, we head north towards Cape Cross Lodge in the Cape Cross Seal Reserve.

Day 4 - Damaraland

A long day of driving lies ahead of us. We take the long coastal road through the deserted Skeleton Coast Park and eventually turn inland towards the heart of Damaraland. Our destination is the luxurious Mowani Mountain Camp, where, if we're lucky we can get to see the Desert Elephants of Namibia.

During the afternoon we visit the famous Twyfelfontein Rock engravings.

Day 5 – Okaukuejo, Etosha National Park

Leaving the rugged mountain of Damaraland behind, we drive towards Namibia’s most famous attraction – Etosha National Park.
Etosha Game park was declared a National Park in 1907 and covering an area of 22 270 square km, it is home to 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, 110 reptile species, 16 amphibian species and, surprisingly, one species of fish.
Okaukuejo is famous for its floodlit waterhole which can be visited any time of the day or night. We visit many of the surrounding waterholes where wildlife is always in abundance.

Day 6 – Okonjima Bush Camp

We start the day very early in the morning for another game drive, after which we start with our journey south. Our next destination is Okonjima, home of the AfriCat Foundation and largest cheetah and leopard rescue and release programme in the world.
Okonjima Bush Camp is situated in a wilderness area of this privately owned game reserve.

Day 7 - Leopards, Cheetah and fly home!

Time permitting (depending on your flight departure) you are free to participate in one of the early morning activities, which is usually an option between the cheetah welfare project or leopard tracking.
We depart in time for the drive back to Windhoek and your flight back home.
