Across the Divide have been running charity and corporate events for over 10 years, taking 1000's of people on our events and have helped to raise over £24 million for worthy causes. Have you ever wanted to trek the Great Wall of China, trek to Everest Base Camp, mush your own dogsled team in the Arctic or climb Kilimanjaro whilst raising money for a good cause or a charity of your own choice?
Well, by joining one of our charity expeditions, you can do just that.
The Namib Ultra Marathon. This race is of such extreme nature that it will be a serious undertaking to train hard enough to cope with the onslaught of the Namib on your body, covering 42km (26 miles).
Contestants will be completely self reliant from the start of the race till the end, and will need to carry their food and equipment on their backs. Water stations and medical tents will be provided at 20km intervals along the route. Temperatures are expected to be in the region of min 5ºc / max 35 ºc but could also be more extreme.
Afri Leo Foundation. Established in 1997 by Tammy and Uwe Hoth, this Foundation is based on a farm bordering the south-western section of the Etosha National Park.
Our Vision - "the protection and conservation of wild lion populations in Namibia, in co-operation with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism as well as other non-governmental organisations, in order to ensure the long term survival of the species".
Expedition and Wilderness Medicine. Expedition Medicine is the leading provider of expedition and wilderness medicine training courses, and provides quality training for expedition, wilderness, high altitude, mountain, remote, polar, diving, jungle and desert medicine practitioners. Suitable for expedition doctors, wilderness EMTs, first responders, nurses and individuals providing medical cover in remote or inhospitable environments, far from help. EML organises the Desert Medicine training course in Namibia.
EML has available a resource of expedition medics who are able to provide quality film or event medical backup. From the deserts of Namibia to the Arctic, EML is able to call on a growing pool of extraordinary medics to provide medical cover whatever your event or location.
